Hand Pump
1. Uses and types of hand pumps
Generally used for manual operation of hydraulic elevators or press equipment, or during an emergency stop of an elevator, and for pressure testing of hydraulic systems. They are fitted with a relief valve (safety valve) so that they can be used and adjusted even at high pressure, and a manual valve for releasing pressure can be selected.
2. Installation
The inner diameter of the suction pipe must be at least 8 mm, and the connection between the hand pump and the pipe must be completely sealed. If possible, it is best to fit a filter in the suction line.
3. Bleeding air
Install the hand pump so that its handle (lever) can move as freely as possible. To bleed the air, first loosen the air bleed screw half a turn and, with it open, keep pumping until oil comes out along the screw thread.
