During Downward Travel
1. The car does not start on downward travel
The shut-off valve is closed
Open the valve (operating with the valve closed causes the pressure to rise sharply).
The car is caught on the guide rails or elsewhere
Check and eliminate the problem.
No power is supplied to coil D or the voltage is low
Check the voltage and distinguish DC or AC (Donam uses DC 110V).
Adjuster #6 is closed too far
Turn adjuster #6 counterclockwise (applies to slowdown operation).
Adjuster #8 is open too far
Turn adjuster #8 clockwise (adjuster #8 is very sensitive, so turn it little by little. If turned too far, the car comes down regardless of the electrical signal).
Adjuster #7 is closed too far
Turn adjuster #7 counterclockwise.
The oil viscosity is too high (the oil is about to solidify)
Check, then remove foreign matter and clean.
2. Severe shock when starting downward (sudden acceleration)
Adjuster #6 is open too far
Turn adjuster #6 clockwise.
The car was caught on the rails or elsewhere before starting and then starts
Check the rails, cylinder and other parts.
3. No high-speed descent after starting (keeps descending at low speed)
No power is supplied to coil C or the voltage is low
Check the voltage and distinguish DC or AC (Donam uses 110V).
There is foreign matter in coil C
Check, then remove foreign matter and clean.
Adjuster #7 is closed too far
Turn adjuster #7 counterclockwise.
4. High-speed descent is too fast
Adjuster #7 is open too far
Turn adjuster #7 clockwise.
5. Abrupt slowdown with severe shock when decelerating
Adjuster #8 is open too far
Turn adjuster #8 clockwise little by little (adjuster #8 is sensitive and affects landing).
Adjuster #9 is closed too far
Turn adjuster #9 counterclockwise little by little.
The downward travel speed is too fast (compared with the slowdown speed)
Turn adjuster #7 clockwise.
6. When the slowdown speed is too slow
Adjuster #9 is open too far
Turn adjuster #9 clockwise.
7. Keeps descending at high speed without slowing down
Power is still being supplied to coil C
Check the power supply.
Adjuster #9 is open too far
Turn adjuster #9 clockwise (reduces the slowdown speed).
The spring of adjuster #9 is broken or in poor condition
Disassemble, check and take action.
The slowdown zone is too short
Lengthen the limit switch slowdown zone (e.g. at a speed of 0.3 m/sec, 30 cm).
8. Severe shock when landing
Adjuster #9 is open too far
Turn adjuster #9 clockwise.
The slowdown zone is too short
Adjust the limit switch position.
Adjuster #8 is open too far
Turn adjuster #8 clockwise.
9. The car stops a certain distance short of the landing level
The stop limit switch is positioned too high
Check and adjust the position.
The cylinder is too short
Check and take action.
The sheave wire rope is too short
Check and take action.
The cylinder is installed too high
Check and take action.
10. The car goes below the landing level
The stop limit switch is too low
Check and adjust the position.
Adjuster #8 is closed too far
Turn adjuster #8 counterclockwise.
