Submerged screw pump for elevators

Settima supplies about 30,000 units a year to customers around the world, including not only screw pumps for elevators (submerged type) but also industrial (external type) screw pumps and gear pumps. Capacities range widely from 10 l/min to 1,200 l/min, so every user requirement can be met immediately.
- Submerged screw pumps are widely used for elevators because of their low noise (60db or less).
- To make the low noise even quieter, Donam Engineering supplies the pumps with a silencer fitted.
Industrial three-screw pump Medium/low pressure 80 bar

As an industrial three-screw pump for medium/low-pressure conditions (80 bar), it is a reliable, low-noise pump ideal for working environments that require long life and low cost.
High-quality screws guarantee a dramatic reduction in noise and vibration.
Screw rotation and load
- The three screws rotating inside the body are designed to avoid any axial load.
- The pressure acting during operation creates a slight clearance between the balance piston of the drive screw and the pump body, which distributes the hydrodynamic forces acting on the screws and helps lubricate and cool the sealing parts.
- The rotating moment (torque) to be transmitted to the side screws is transmitted hydraulically by the pumped liquid itself. This means the screws can rotate with no wear at all.
Pumping principle
- The geometric design of the three screws creates sealed spaces inside the pump.
- In addition, as the screws rotate, the drive screw (main screw) creates spaces that trap the liquid and carry it from the suction port toward the discharge port.
- A safety valve can also be fitted internally or externally.
