Cylinder Installation Method

To installers!Follow the steps below when installing the cylinder to avoid problems.
Drawing of distances A and B between the cylinder and the two rails
1

The cylinder must stand at the centre between the rails.

A = B (±2mm)

The distance from the centre of the cylinder's hex bolt to the rails must be within a tolerance of 2mm, as shown in the figure.

For example, if A is 200mm, B must be within 198–202mm (tolerance: ±2mm).

2

The angle of the cylinder must be checked.

C1 = C2 (±2mm)

Use a plumb bob (east, west, south) to minimize the angle.

C1 and C2 must be within a tolerance of 2mm (see photo).

Measure and check the angle on the east, west and south sides.

If the above steps are not followed,
  • the cylinder rod may be damaged.
  • the cylinder packing may be damaged.
  • serious defects may cause oil leakage.
